Graduated conformers

Also called expansion conformers, these are used most often with very young children born with undeveloped (microphthalmic) eyes. The goal is to develop the space around the undeveloped eye so that the space matches that of the companion eye. This ensures that the eyes will match when the scleral shell is fit.
